When NOVO Construction remodeled SailPoint's Four Points offices, the back terrace came with a history: the previous shade system, installed by another company, had failed twice in eight years. The causes were structural — angled steel that pulled the rigging out of line, on an exposed site that takes real wind. New fabric alone would have bought a third failure.
We rebuilt from the anchors out with genuine sailboat rigging hardware — ball fittings that articulate against the angled steel, so every cable pulls evenly no matter the angle. Over that rigging went thirteen custom Roman shade systems in three colors of Phifertex matched to SailPoint's logo, installed inside an active construction schedule.
For a company called SailPoint, it felt right that the terrace ended up rigged like a sailboat.
