Same craft. Different focus.
Sailmaking is fabric engineering under extreme load. A sail has to hold its shape against wind that wants to tear it apart. Shade is that same discipline, pointed at the sun instead of the wind.
That's why our panels don't sag, don't flap, and don't fail. We cut them the way you cut a sail: with tension and load and UV in mind from the first pattern.
