Two decades with no shade. Solved.

Freestanding shade over one end of the Austin Yacht Club pool, with the marina and Lake Travis behind
Austin Yacht Club, Lake Travis. Fabric shade on a freestanding frame over seating that overlooks the pool and lake. Photographed after completion.

The challenge

Twenty years without a place to cool off.

Members wanted somewhere comfortable to cool off and watch the water, and the pool area gave them nowhere to do it.

The response

The pool finally became somewhere to stay.

The shade covers a comfortable seating area along the shallow end, a good spot for parents watching their kids in the water. Years later it still looks great with zero maintenance.
