Retractable pergolas and motorized screens are hard to sell from a brochure. Homeowners, designers, and builders want to watch the canvas fold back, see the screens drop, and feel the difference in the shade before they commit. Out by Lake Travis, the system also has to stand up to real wind, hard afternoon sun, and summer storms. We wanted one install that answered all of it.
We installed a flat-version Palladia, three runners wide, 22'8" across with a 19'7" projection and a front beam to carry the span. Its Eclissi canvas, a laminated blackout fabric that sheds rain, glides out or folds back on a radio-controlled motor. Two Summit roll-down screens in Suntex 95 drop on zip-locked side tracks to block low sun and wind and help keep bugs out. The frames are Carbon throughout, and every motor is Somfy, so the whole system runs from the Somfy app or Apple Home, Siri included. A four-person crew had it installed in two days.
It's part of our showroom, so you don't have to take our word for it. Designers, builders, and homeowners can come run it themselves: book a visit and see the roof open and the screens drop in person.
